An unbreakable man, a super-split personality, and a brittle mastermind collide in the new trailer for M. Shamalayan’s Glass. The film is the much-hyped third installment in the director’s super-verse and now we have the final trailer. Glass will hit theaters in 2019.

About Glass

Official Description: Security guard David Dunn uses his supernatural abilities to track Kevin Wendell Crumb, a disturbed man who has twenty-four personalities.

In 2000, Unbreakable released, marking M. Night’s sophomore effort after the phenomenal success of Sixth Sense. Unbreakable was mostly unremarkable. It did well enough at the box office but didn’t really leave much of an impression. M. Night moved on to make more films that seemed to get worse as time went on. In 2016, M. Night was on a bit of an uptick, and he released a small horror-thriller named Split that turned out to be more than just a hit but a setup for a third film that connected back to Unbreakable. M. Night, the patron saint of plot twists, had done it again!

After hitting a proverbial artistic rock bottom with After Earth, M. Night worked his way back into the spotlight with Split (and The Visit before that). Glass is the third chapter in M. Night’s super-verse, and it’s highly anticipated after the wild success of Split. What will the twist be here? Is it going to end with everyone turning to dust revealing that M. Night’s universe is part of the MCU?! I’m putting my money on many more heroes and villains introduced in Glass to start a sort of mini-MCU over at Universal.
