3. Supergirl, “Damage” (Nov 6th)

Supergirl continues to find creative ways to address the current US political climate. The Kevin Smith-directed episode isn’t faultless, but the central conflict is interesting. The dynamic between Kara and Lena is reminiscent of the dope Clark-Lex relationship from Smallville. What doesn’t work is Lena’s love-hate relationship with James. It seems like the show is trying to push them together, gearing up for a heated make-out session, and so far it’s been annoying. What’s a real shame is that we’re losing the great Alex-Maggie relationship, as Floriana Lima exits the show. At least her exit made more sense that the appearance of the plane Lena was held on. Seriously, that plane came and scooped her up SO FAST!

SCORE: 7.5/10 Field Testing Device
